She earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns as well as taxpayer representation. Enrolled agent status is the most prestigious credential of the IRS awards.
Peterson is also an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor which she uses to not only serve clients at Accounting Freedom, LLC but also at Intuit, the home of QuickBooks and TurboTax. At Intuit she excels as a Senior Expert Bookkeeper in the clean up department cleaning up books for small to medium sized businesses. She ranks number one on her Intuit team for speed, accuracy and most completions. She is also an Intuit Certified Bookkeeper with payroll experience.
Peterson has an interdisciplinary studies degree from the University of Arizona in Spanish, Italian and linguistics. She has post-baccalaureate work from Northern Arizona University in forestry and Mandarin Chinese.
